How to Drive The Field to the Endzone

Take it a step at a time.

It’s easy to get caught up thinking success only comes to people who are lucky. It’s easy to wait and wonder when your big break will come. It’s harder to work for success day in and day out, but it’s that perseverance that will ultimately get you where you want to be.

This week, as football season comes to a close, host Jake Thompson shares tips for staying on the path to greatness by picking up a few yards at a time. The most successful people are the ones who’ve put in the ground work every day. They’re the ones who rest when they need to rest so they can be fired up to keep going even harder down the line. If you push the fear and doubt away and keep your eyes trained on goal, you can get there, too, one step at a time.

Things You’ll Learn:

  • How to stay focused
  • Learn to develop grit
  • Keep your eye on the end goal
  • Persevere through the smaller steps
  • Don’t let fear and doubt stand in your way

“Are you OK picking up three to four yards every day? Because that’s what success requires.” – Jake Thompson

You may not openly realize it, but in the back of your head, deep down in your thoughts in your brain, your voice is saying if you’re not taking home run shots every day, you’re not doing anything. … And that’s a bold face lie that fear and doubt is trying to tell you.” – Jake Thompson

“The only reason you’re able to hit those home run shots is because you’re meticulously moving the ball down the field a few yards at a time every single day.” -Jake Thompson

“You want to leave your mark on this world so one day when you leave, people look back and say they were here. There are marks in other people’s lives, there are dents made in this world that that person lived here. That’s what we all want. That’s what we desire. That’s what we live for.” -Jake Thompson

“Every day it’s about a small, tiny step forward.” -Jake Thompson
