Sometimes, you need to have a garage sale to get rid of all the useless stuff that you’ve accumulated in your house. It takes up space and it takes up time and doesn’t give you anything in return. The same thing happens with our excuses.
We let them build up over time in order to protect us from ever stepping out of our comfort zone and really taking the plunge.
We hold onto excuses just in case we need an out, just in case things get tough and we’re not where we want to be. We cling onto them in order to combat potential loss in the future. But keeping those excuses doesn’t actually help us in the long run. Instead, it keeps us confined to living short of our true potential. It’s time to do a “clearing out” of all the junk that’s holding you back, starting now.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
- Don’t hold onto easy outs
- Take ownership of your actions
- Set small benchmarks
- Focus on progress, not perfection
- Have an accountability partner
